Step Back
I hate how we think we are big for putting women down.
Figures like Andrew tate humiliate women.
But deep down when you’re slagging women
and you see one of your mates go over and apologize
for your actions.
You take a step back
and think of this culture
and how it had brain rotted you.
When they apologized deep down you knre
they were the bigger man
and your the smaller
barely a man at all.
Fragile Masculinity
Fragile in a world of toughness
A knife, stabbing you with sharpness
The heart broken, but you can’t admit
They call you woke, though you just exist
Men, wanting you to be strong and manly
Around those men, your hands are shaky
The pressure feels heavy on chest
You want, no, you NEED to be the best
“Have sex with pretty women,
get rich and leave them looking”
That’s what they’ve been telling you since day one
You want better friends, but you got none
Those thoughts, they keep you up at night,
Driving you crazy, until you don’t feel alright
You don’t want to be like them, but you also want approval
You would hit a man, than to be called a loser.
The Laws of Man
We are taught to be tough and strong,
So I always feel wrong,
Instead of sports I’d rather sing and dance,
And I’m disliked before I was given a chance,
One perfect man is who we need to be,
So I can’t be myself; a gay who watches Glee,
“Real men” listen to rap and rock roll,
But I rather sing and dance with Sally Bowles,
Forced not to care about queer media or camp tv,
Football and soccer apparantly
is the only manly way to be.
A young man’s change
Since growing up, I never saw anyone act the pup.
We learned being mannerly was good, but we never understood.
Until I walked into the big secondary school everyone had called manly, my perception of attitude and personality had changed madly.
I thought being loud was cool and was praised for acting a fool.
Girls were the new trend, play dates after school had come to an end.
I began to see my friends vaping, most didn’t have a clue what they were taking.
Not caring for feelings, throwing pens with glue at the ceilings.
Being a young man is rough,
But showing your true personality and emotion, is what’s tough.
Small Man
The angry looks,
The strange rants.
They think its right,
To have blood on your hands.
The languge people use,
The empathy they lack.
Spreading roumers,
Behind your back.
The stariotypical man
The cool, tough guy
Who can punch someone so hard,
That the can fly so high.
But what I think,
What is the most tragic of all.
Is the way inside,
They feel so small.
Pecked By The Parrot
The Boys in Green went to Budapest
With nothing but a dream
After not so, long the dream was bust ,and all hope was lost
Until up stepped Troy Parrot to give the nation hope again
A simple goal that can bring an entire nation together
And make us beilive once again
A man who carried an entire nation on his back
Silence and Strength
You are made feel like
you should bottle up your feelings,
That silence is a form of strength,
If you could just be yourself
the world would be a much beter place,
Everyone could show their real face.
Man Rules
We’re told to be strong
But we hate each other
We should lift our friends
But we laugh at them
We’re meant to help each other
But we hide who we are
We should grow together to be better.
Courage
Everyday expecting to be emotionless tires us out
Problems everyday could make us want to shout
No one really knows what goes on
So you feel you have a cover on
Don’t be afraid to go and say
Feelings can change everyday
Don’t be embarrassed to go and say
The problems that u may have regardless of the emotions u have.
Stigma
A stigma around being you
And what you really want to do
For many boys its too rough
Because they’re just not as tough
The system doesn’t do enough
Lads don’t enjoy school
Some are too cool, some prefer tools
They’re made out to just be fools.
Step into a old school, look around
See the modern inside contrast the outside
Look at the new kids and teacher laugh about
It’s best not to judge a book by its cover
Start leaving behind
the thoughts you’ve been overthinking
You’d learn it all about it
In this school now let it sink in
Learn it slowly
Learn it quickly,
Don’t care about the pace, just let it sink in
Full of information
Need identification
Debate it, play against it, sing it up
Expression, is all that the school need to be better
Love is the thing that keep us together
No need to shout to raise your hand for the answer
Looks, is something that the school strictly cares about
Get in trouble for different identification
Different hair colour and uniform would make them yell and shout cause your different.
We are Better than That
I hate how young men try to copy someone who is more “popular” then them,
I hate how young men sexualize things,
I hate how young men disrespect their parents and older people,
I hate how young men act towards each other,
I hate how young men try to be the people they see online doing terrible things.
The only person
I have so many friends,
and I enjoy hanging out with them,
but when I go home,
I like to talk with my mum,
I can tell her how I feel,
I can tell her what I think,
because she is the only person,
how will never judge me.
Kindness Wins
I hate the way boys see women.
I hate the way boys can’t speak out with their “friends”.
I hate the way boys can’t man up and say the truth.
But what I hate the most is how humans treat other humans
no matter what race what gender what sexuality what beliefs.
Kindness will always find a way.
Men in General
I hate how men in general have this stereotype
that they have to hide there emotions
in certain circumstances,
for example at a time of grieving
I feel there’s this kind of feeling unspoken
of that men should be strong
and not express there emotions.
The Stream
At fifteen, life’s a fast-running stream,
Half real moments, half wild dream.
You’re growing, changing, finding your way
Stronger today than you were yesterday.
Respect
Being gay shouldn’t be a red flag
But someone that has diffrent views
You don’t have to agree just respect every human being
We all mighnt see eye to eye but we should at least try.
True Sham
I’m a true tuam Sham
Who wants to show who I really am
I want to win against the buffs
And if I don’t it’ll question if I’m really that tuff
We think about how we will feel when we win
But I know I want them buffs to be put in that bin
No matter what anyone says I’ll back my boys
Buffs are nothing but babies who play with kids toys.
Top Boy
Running these streets making all this noise
giving stuff n smac to all these boys
have em running around like my toys
givin no cares and taking none
but overall looking like scum
the turks taken out, by no other by D
which leaves top boy to no other than me
Be Kind
I don’t like people who are mean
I don’t like people like dean
I don’t like people who are dry
I don’t like people who think they fly
I don’t like people who have an ego
I don’t like people who who always say no
I don’t like people who are against everything
So be ursled and don’t care what others think.
I don’t like the way
people treat me like I am a child
and like the way that teachers don’t think
that I haven’t experienced some things
that you’ll experience in your early ages .
I don’t like that I’m forced to get a job at my age .
I don’t like that everything is going fast
The Point
Not being able to do certain stuff like driving
Not making money just in school instead of working
High expectations
Exams
I hate the way I’m forced to write
I hate the way I can’t laugh.
I hate the way I have to be right.
I hate the way I have to be.
I hate the way this has to rhyme.
I hate the way its doesn’t at all.
I hate the way I have to try.
I hate the way I have to go.
I hate the way I can’t hate it, not one bit, not at all.
The Love of My Life
The meat spinning on the rotisserie
To me it’s a sort of remissory
The love of my life in culinary form
I yearn for kebabs ’cause they make me feel warm
Some leaves of lettuce and onion of some sort
A drizzle of garlic and sweet chili sauce
The round tasty disc of fresh pita bread
And suddenly I feel void of all dread
I could eat one each day for the rest of my life
I’d choose them over my hypothetical wife
“Gyros is better” is such a huge bluff
When it comes to kebabs, I just can’t get enough.
TROY PARROTT
His name is Troy Parrott
He’s as strong as an ox
He gets on the field
and causes a commotion
if the others don’t yield
he scores with motion
His name is Troy Parrott
He’s as fast as a cheetah
He’ll take us to the world cup
Where it will all blow up
He’ll show players how its done
while having some fun.
A night in Budapest
A impossible thought
A dream come true
A night starting in the dark
Lead to a knight in shining armor
Of a green and white star
A pecking given
By a last minute winner
From a boy called Troy.
