We provide all art supplies and materials. However, for animation days we recommend that students bring a tablet or device (Android, iPad, mobile) if they have one. The software we use is StopMotion Studio, and it’s free. Bringing your own device is not essential, but can enhance the experience simply because some students prefer to work on their own. We encourage them to work in pairs or teams. You’ll be notified which day is animation day on the week of the camp, or the day before.

Please note that a device is essential for the Digital Animation Camps for Teens, which are on this summer in Rua Red, Tallaght and TUS, Limerick. Details of this will be provided a week prior to camp beginning.

We use free animation apps during the camps, and working on a personal device means students can continue their projects at home. We’ll have a few devices available to share, but having their own allows more freedom and focus.

Yes. While some of our venues have canteen facilities, we recommend that children bring their own lunch, snacks, and a drink each day. It’s the easiest and most flexible option, especially for younger kids.

Yes. Each day runs for 4 hours, usually with a short break halfway through. Activities vary by day and will include animation, book making, comics, illustration, mixed media, character design and more. Depending on the dynamic of the group, the last day of camp is may entail a free art day, where students can continue projects they worked on during the week, or try something new with the help of our talented staff.

Absolutely — we do our best to seat friends or siblings together when requested. Just let us know at registration or pop us an email and we’ll make it happen.

Our camps are designed to be inclusive, relaxed, and confidence-building. We welcome children and teens of all artistic levels — from first-timers to dedicated young artists. If you have any concerns (e.g. anxiety, learning differences, etc.), feel free to contact us. We’re happy to discuss and make accommodations where we can.

While our camps are officially listed for ages 8–12, we’re happy to accept mature 7½-year-olds at the discretion of their parents. As long as your child is comfortable sitting and focusing for longer periods (around 4 hours with a break), they should be fine — and very welcome to join us.

We leave this up to the discretions of the parents, but yes, in most cases. While our general guideline is 8–12 for the kids camps and 13–18 for the teens camps, we know some 12-year-olds are ready for a more advanced or mature atmosphere. In some of our larger camps, we find that our older kids’ group is more diligent than our younger teen group, as they are coming from a sixth class mind-set of seniority, and not a 1st year secondary school mindset.

Yes. All of our facilitators and supervisors are Garda vetted and experienced in working with children and teens in creative settings. Safety and support are our top priorities.

Unfortunately, we don’t offer early drop-off or late collection at our venues, as our camps run to a fixed schedule and staffing. However, we do appreciate that things can happen. Please let us know if there is an emergency so that we can work together to make sure nobody is left on their own.
